Will additonal padding level out a floor before laminate.

The product has a thin underlayment attached. If a floor plank and underlayment or adhesive will not fit under the door remove the door and trim it with a circular saw about 1 8 inch above the level of the new flooring. Laminate floors may be glued down or installed as floating systems which lock together using tongue and groove connectors. Mix up some of the self leveling compound in a bucket with the drill and paddle until you achieve a thick creamy yet pourable mixture.

Pour this out of the bucket into the low spots of the floor. Because laminate is typically thinner and less sturdy than real wood it is critical that you properly level the subfloor before you install laminate. I d like to also put down a thin underlayment on the wood subfloor.
