Bissell is a 140 year old family owned vacuum cleaner brand. Depending on which model of carpet cleaner you have you may need to move the handle of the tank back or down to lock it in place. Your solution filter could be clogged to check turn off your unit and unplug from the wall. Use a flat blade screwdriver to open the latch on the belt access door located on the side of the unit.

Check for the red gasket on the bottom of the tank if missing or not installed properly order a new one or reattach it. To check turn off machine and hold the spray trigger for 30 seconds. Remove the red solution filter cap on the base of the machine by using a coin or screwdriver and turning the cap counterclockwise. Contact bissell for a new pump belt if it is broken.

Remove the tank and set it aside. If the machine does not spray from the spray tip after cleaning please visit a bissell authorized service center or contact us. Turn machine back on and check for spray. Stand the machine upright and replace the water tank.

The bissell company produces a variety of machines designed to clean hard floors and carpet. If the water tank was installed imperfectly the soap solution will not spray. If spray comes out of the spray tip after cleaning reattach the tool and check for spray if there is no spray coming out of the tool a new tool should be ordered. If you mark that the soap solution is not spraying turn off your bissell carpet cleaner as early as possible.
